Featured Cast
James Caan
Paul Vinsant – The small details that Jimmy improvs in addition to his scripted performance are worth the price of admission. Pieces of business like his characters need for Life Savers, “you want one, (Minkow nods “no”), it’s the red one?”, to exhaling his cigarette in the actor’s face all work to heighten the conflicts he creates as Detective Gamble of the FBI.
Ving Rhames
Peanut – Ving Rhames’ character “Peanut” coined Minkow as “the jail bird preacher”. Peanut questions if Barry really changed or if becoming a Christian was just another Barry Minkow con?
Elisabeth Rohm
Lisa Minkow play’s Barry’s wife. Her instincts as an actress told her that the real Barry was not done with his cons.
Mark Hamill
Robert Minkow – As Mr. Minkow, Mark Hamill observes his son compete with him to become the family breadwinner and shame him along the way.
Talia Shire
Carol Minkow – Talia’s performance as Carol Minkow delivers high drama. Her instincts as Barry’s mother trying to stop her son from imploding provoke empathy.
Armand Assante
Jerry Saxon – Organized crime was an integral part of the ZZZZ Best scandal and Armand naturally became the perfect cast for Jacks Sachs.
Justin Baldoni
Young Barry Minkow – Justin Baldoni plays “Young Barry”, who in real life was the youngest person to defraud Wall Street. Justin delivers an emotionally charged performance as a steroid crazed, narcissistic entrepreneur.
